Cristiano Ronaldo denies reports of affair, says it was designed to destabilise him ahead of big match

Cristiano Ronaldo has described himself as 'deeply outraged' by
reports that he had an affair with a Brazilian woman known by the
nickname 'Miss Bumbum'.
The Real Madrid star, who is in a long-term relationship with Russian
model Irina Shayk (pictured together, above), took to Twitter to deny
the story, which appeared in The Sun.
Ronaldo also suggested that the revelations had been deliberately
timed to knock him and his team on the eve of a major game for his
side against fierce rivals Atletico Madrid.
"I was informed," Ronaldo wrote, "that The Sun, faithful to its
editorial line, will publish an article where is given voice to a so
called Andressa... someone seeking the limelight on my account. And I
wonder why this happens one day before a very important game for my
team..."
Real Madrid's hold on second place in La Liga was dependent on
avoiding defeat to their city rivals on Saturday night. Radamel Falcao
struck early for Atletico, but Ronaldo's side fought back to win 2-1.
Ronaldo himself missed the game, with a 'muscle injury' cited as the
reason for his absence.
The side, managed by Jose Mourinho, are in action again on Tuesday in
the Champions League, where they aim to overturn a shock 4-1 defeat at
the hands of Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the semi-final at
the Bernabeu.
The article claimed that Ronaldo had been with Andressa Urach, known
as 'Miss Bumbum' after finishing second in a competition of the same
name in Brazil, as recently as last week, something that the
Portuguese forward flatly denied.
"Deeply outraged," Ronaldo continued, "by a situation intended, in
vain, to affect my personal life. I just want to clarify I was in fact
at the Hotel Villa Magna on April 22 giving an interview to Manu
Sainz, something the reporter himself is able to corroborate.
"Everything else is pure fiction and forgery."
Ronaldo had a reputation for a playboy lifestyle at certain times
during his career, but the 28-year-old has been in a three-year
relationship with Shayk.
