49-year-old man rapes daughter, granddaughter in Lagos

A 49-year-old truck driver was arrested by the Lagos State Police
Command for allegedly raping his seven-year-old daughter and his
one-year-old granddaughter at his home located at number 13, Kolawole
Street, Ejigbo, Lagos.

Kblog gathered that the suspect, Sylvester Ehijere allegedly
disvirgined the girls.

Lagos state Police Spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said it was the
suspect's wife that reported the matter to the Ejigbo Police Division.

She said, "The suspect's wife, Margaret, alleged that she kept her
granddaughter who is 15 months old with her nanny and when she
returned home, she noticed that the baby was crying.

"On inspecting her body, she noticed blood stains at her private part.
When she asked what happened, her seven-year-old daughter said it was
her dad that did it.

"The daughter also alleged that he had raped her on numerous
occasions. The children were later taken to Isolo General Hospital
where it was confirmed that they had indeed been disvirgined.
