Fans will be able to play any Sony-published games for PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 on the PlayStation 4
, PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita handheld this summer, thanks to streaming service PlayStation Now.
Andrew House, the president of Sony Computer Entertainment, announced Sony Now at the company's CES 2014 presentation on Tuesday. He said it will give people instant access to games they loved from previous generations.
PlayStation Now will allow gamers to rent individual title or pay for subscription plans to play multiple games. The company did not elaborate on pricing. Big 2013 PlayStation 3 titles The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Soulswere touted on stage with availability on Sony Now.
