Nelson Mandela hospitalised again

South African legend Nelson Mandela was admitted into the hospital again yesterday, March 9, 2013 for a routine medical check-up, according to a statement from the South African President’s office.

The 94-year-old former SA president is undergoing tests at a Pretoria hospital to ‘manage existing conditions in line with his age’, the statement read. Doctors have continued to stress that there’s no cause for alarm.

In December, Mandela was hospitalized for 19 days when treated for gallstones and a lung infection.
