LASU cult group kills pop star Damino Damoche


Olaniyan Damilola, a fast rising Nigerian Pop Music star was shot dead at Lagos State University Ojo gate by people suspected to be cultist.
The mobile singer and dancer’s stage name is Damino Damoche.
Report say he was shot twice in the head and hand after he finished writing test at the Faculty of Management Science where he is studying Banking and Finance.
An eyewitness, who does not want his name mentioned, said; “The incident happened around 4pm when Damoche (Olaniyan) was leaving the school premises  Some guys wielding guns and machetes on a bike started shooting at him, and even after he fell to the ground, they stabbed him repeatedly before fleeing.
“At this point, everyone took cover for fear of being hit, but it was obvious that Damoche was the target.”
When contacted, the institution’s Spokesperson, Sola Fosudo, confirmed the incident, but quickly added that Damilola was not killed in the school premises.
“I have just confirmed from the security men on the campus and they told me that a student of the Department of Business Administration was shot. It did not happen on the campus. I was told it happened along Igando Road where he was shot by gunmen on a bike,” he said
Confirming the killing, the Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide added that Damilola’s remains has been deposited at a Mortuary in  Badagry General Hospital.
“The incident occurred around 4pm. He was shot and killed while exiting the school’s second gate,  at Iba. Apart from the gunshot wounds, several cuts were observed on the corpse. The remains have been deposited at Badagry General Hospital Mortuary while investigations have begun,” she said.
Damino Damoche had produced various songs including “Dadubule”, “Obotoshe” and was working with some top artiste to complete his Album before he was murdered.
